@dylangillespietri

Nickname: Turbo

Birthday: January 21

Home Base: Bozeman, MT

Dylan grew up in Scandia, Minnesota, a small farm town near Marine on the St. Croix River. He is the youngest child so naturally, had to grow up fast and tough. Following in his older brother's footsteps, he started racing BMX at a young age, hockey, football, baseball, basketball, and boxing.

In 2009 he completed his first sprint triathlon and was completely sold. Dylan immediately quit his other sports and joined the swim team in 10th grade to hone in his swimming ability. Dylan quickly found out he was natural in the pool and broke his high school's 50-yard freestyle record.

After high school, Dylan moved out to Bozeman, MT to pursue a career in Firefighting. Dylan continued racing and training with the goal of achieving his pro license. In 2018 he won the amateur Ironman 70.3 Coeur d'Alene triathlon, qualifying him to race professionally.

In the spring of 2021 Dylan quit his career as a Firefighter and took on a full-time position with Mach Apparel, allowing him to race and train full-time. Dylan is excited for the 2022 race season!

Favorite Speed Hound Product

"Pro Recovery System Leg + Hip attachment combo. I like to start with the hip attachment for 20-30min then finish with the leg attachment another 20-30min. This way I can ensure that my entire legs from hips to my toes are getting the attention they deserve."
