When you are out on an open water swim, where do you put your keys, phone, and wallet? If you were to need help, do you think others can spot you easily in the water from a distance?  These are the questions I was looking to answer when I created the Speed Hound Swim Buoy.  Here's why you should buy:

  • Increases your visibility significantly in lakes, oceans, and other open water environments.  The bright color of the Swim Buoy is designed to be noticeable against water for people to spot you easily.
  • Includes floating dry bag with large storage compartment and waterproof cell phone case.  Compartment can ID, keys, wallet, extra goggles, energy gel, water shoes, etc.
  • Buoy is made of premium quality and durable 190T nylon that has two inflatable chambers.
  • Easy to inflate and deflate.  Rolls up for portability and storage.
  • Great for snorkeling, stand up paddleboarding, surfing, or kayaking.
  • Available in three bright colors and two sizes (16L & 28L). 16L has dimensions of 18" x 13" while the 28L measures 22 " x 14". The 16L is recommended for those under the weight of 160 lbs and the 28L is commended for those over the weight of 160 lbs.

"Seems nice! It feels like good thick material. I wont have a chance to use it till i go to the Caribbean next month. It arrived quickly so no complaints so far"

Love it, works well and high quality

"I understand from speaking with one of your representatives that you are considering stopping selling the swim buoys. From what I’ve seen, yours are the best on the market. They are made of resilient, sturdy and reliable material, The apparatus to blow up the swim buoy never falters, and they don’t leak. I’m not sure what brand I would go to if you guys stop selling."

Awesome

"I am inspired by my swim buoy by Speed Hound. Since I’ve gotten this swim buoyI’ve become a huge advocate for using swim buoys in open water swimming. And, I’m even trying to get swim buoys mandatory during open water swim competitions as part of a triathlon event. I have spoken to a major sponsor of a triathlon called the WalloonTri and they are interested in hooking up with a swim buoy sponsor. If you’re interested in pursuing this contact Debbie LUHRS pro shop manager of Tommy’s at 231-525-6039 extension 4007."

Awesome product!

"Haven’t tried it yet, but it is very well made. Thick bladder but not to heavy to pack. I am so excited to you this after nearly drowning in Hawaii. Awesome product!"

Must have for open water

"Perfect, it is exactly what I was looking for and it will be a nice addition to swim in open waters with my club."

Great safety product that I never knew I needed.

"Love it. I hate leaving my keys, cellphone & wallet on the beach when I am in the water for a 2 mile swim. Having the dry bag compartment built in is fantastic. I still put it all in a ziplock but that's my own paranoia. I was afraid I'd feel it towing behind me or would be kicking it with my legs and it would drive me nuts the whole swim but you would really never even know it was there. I had to look at one point to make sure it was actually still attached because I couldn't feel it. It would be nice if the cap over the valve had a poker on one side to push in the valve and deflate it but my keys worked on it just fine. It was strong enough to rest on at the end of my swim too when I just wanted to float for a few minutes. Thanks for making a great product."
